Introducing the Red League: Earn Points, Win Prizes

In order to reward our most active team members from all of our squads, we are introducing the Red League. The Red League rewards you with points for participating in team matches (like BWCL).

How points work

  • Participation: Showing up and playing earns 5 points.
  • Dual-format bonus: If you play both 1v1 and 2v2 in the same match week, you earn +3 points.
  • Map wins:
    • In your better-performing series, each map win = 2 points.
    • In the other series, each map win = 1 point.
    • If both series perform equally, one counts as 2-point maps and the other as 1-point maps.

This way you can earn up to 14 points per week.

Prizes

There are rewards for each squad: the player with the highest score for each squad will receive €40, while the second place will receive €25. This will be done for each year.

  • 🥇 1st place: €40
  • 🥈 2nd place: €25

For 2025 we’re starting with BWCL Season 63 and won’t be counting season 62 from the first half of the year.

Eligibility

This is only valid for players who are part of Red, not players who are part of another team and playing with us in any given team league.

The Red Website Is Live: Leader’s Letter

Dear Dödels,

I am thrilled that I was given the special honor to present to you our brand-new clan page developed and published by Red.suits.

Who would have thought that 14 years ago in 2011 a small channel named “op red” would first develop into a small German clan in 2017 getting ready for the reboot of BWCL thanks to StarCraft: Remastered, growing into a rather competitive clan participating in other leagues as well like STPL, and eventually becoming one of the biggest international active clans in the current foreigner scene with a few gold medals under our belt.

Over the course of the past 14 years real-life friendships have grown, new relationships have emerged, lots of private (birthday-)LANs with lots of beer and pizza were hosted, new members were recruited and many tours and leagues were played including our own semi-regular Red Clan Cup. That’s a very long period time to look back to.

But what would a clan leader be without the help of other members who take over some, if not most of the administrative tasks. During the first BWCL seasons, I was still capable of managing three squads at once while also playing my respective matches, but as the numbers of leagues and things to manage began to rise, I was in need of support.

So, I’d like to take the opportunity to say thanks to the following people: LML, fischei and cReAtiVee who have mainly organized the clan wars in BWCL, FakeFin for taking over STPL’s main organization, SkRiK and Navane for keeping our C-Squad alive. Furthermore, to my close IRL friends and our honorary members KuH and Cele for helping me out with several decisions as clan Red was still in its baby shoes. And lastly to suits for taking the initiative to setup a whole new clan page.

May we play, host LANs, eat Pizza and meet members IRL for the next 14 years to come!
